September Song, oil on canvas, 200 x 120 x 2 cm on two panels each measuring 100 x 120 x 2 cm.

September Song, the summer days shorten. Summer sunshine casts long shadows upon the ground, a final flourish of flowers herald summers end.

Inspired by an endless horizon of mustard fields dotted with wildflowers and set against summer blue skies. I used an expressionist background to suggest the continual movement and change of wildlife. Yellow mustard flowers fill the canvas and take me back to childhood memories of a landscape of yellow fields and endless summer days laughing and playing.  Roses twist and climb the tall yellow flowers and delicate butterflies flit in the air. September Song is ready to hang
