Her work was selected by designer Stephanie Williams for use by the BBC in 2018. Angie’s artworks are held in private collections across over 25 countries worldwide. Magazine Editor, Author and Artist Alyson Sheldrake wrote about Angie’s work: “You can almost smell the intoxicating scent of the flowers and feel a warm breeze gently caress your face as you gaze at one of Angie’s delightful paintings. Bold, bright brushstrokes sweep across the canvas to create breath-taking and mesmerising images that are full of joy and vitality. Experience the wonders of nature from inside the comfort of your home or office with one of her original and captivating paintings”. Angie’s recent work explores the juxtaposition of realism and expressionism, creating paintings where viewers feel immersed in a sea of flowers. While these works are grounded in realism, they transcend mere depiction or observation, delving into the emotions inspired by the artist's quest to find extraordinary beauty in the ordinary and reflect upon how this mirrors life.
Drawing inspiration from the inherent beauty and resilience of nature, Angie conveys themes of hope, renewal, love, and strength through her floral landscapes. Her art invites viewers to look deeply and experience the joy and beauty of the world around them.
“I love the way colour flows and how colours can jar or soothe the eye, juxtaposed to bold colour choice I find intrigue in paintings with fine art details and suggestion. I want to create paintings which draw the viewer in, which makes them stop…and then see more than the initial abstract form and colour. These are paintings which hold the eye and where unexpected grace and elegance can be found amongst a fierce hub of colour”. Angie Wright
