I am constantly inspired by the beauty of wild flowers and plants. In the days during lockdown I would long to go out for a walk and be grounded in nature. Even when the flowers are unkempt and overgrown there is a delicious beauty to the chaos of nature. My paintings suggest the chaotic, with expressionist wild skies and dripped and thrown paint. I balance this with the beauty of impressionist floral elements which combine to produce contemporary floral landscapes which are bold and brazen yet delicate and intricate. Gold dripped paint glimmers in the undergrowth and the oil paint is applied thickly with a palette knife to create texture and depth on the canvas. Wild Rose Garden is ready to hang.
