Balboa, an experiment in capturing movement in a painting. By using bold colour and a free application of paint, energy and passion and aggression are palpable in the painting. The painting is an interpretation of a scene from Rocky and is full of dynamic action and tension. Created in acrylic on canvas using large palette knife strokes, the artwork contains textural elements and expressive marks. Balboa is ready to hang.
