See Me, Collage on canvas, 90 x 90 x 3 cm.
Inspired by the screen legend Marilyn Monroe, I wanted to depict the many faces of Monroe but to try to show the woman. Perfect photographs of a beautiful screen goddess juxtaposed against the large main image of a woman looking to be saved.
I used collage as the medium to create “See Me” with torn magazine pictures building the artwork with colour and tone. “See Me” is finished with a satin varnish and is ready to hang
