The Garden's Secret Song, acrylic on canvas, 80 x 80 x 4 cm
There is something wonderfully unruly about a garden left to its own imagination.
In The Garden's Secret Song, a tangle of blossoms emerges from rich, shadowy depths, their delicate forms scattered amongst sweeping passages of plum, violet, magenta and blush pink. Fleeting touches of gold and warm ivory bring light to the composition, while intricate details invite the eye to wander and discover.
Both romantic and exuberant, this richly layered painting captures the irresistible charm of nature doing entirely as it pleases. A little wild, a little mysterious, and quite impossible to tame.
