Dream Seekers was inspired by wildflowers. I wanted to fill the canvas with a beautiful shade of purple. The depth of the colour is astounding and is offset by a neutral grey blue sky and the deep orange marigold flowers. Dripped paint applied in an expressionist style suggests tangled grass and flecks of gold leaf light up the artwork as they catch sunlight bringing depth and intrigue to the painting. The golden marigolds represent happiness and joy and complement the purple of the somniferous poppies beautifully. Dream Seekers is ready to hang.
