Dahlia Dream, oil on canvas, 40 x 40 x 3 cm
"Dahlia Dream" is one of those pieces where I really let the colors take over and guide the mood of the painting. It's a semi-abstract, expressive take on dahlias, and I wanted to capture that dream-like feeling when you’re surrounded by nature, and everything seems soft, vibrant, and just a little bit magical. The brushstrokes are loose and have an impressionist touch, where the focus isn't on the perfect details but more on the overall feeling of the moment. There's a blur of movement in the petals, like they're caught in a gentle breeze, and the bold colors flow in and out of each other, creating an almost fluid, shifting palette. You can see hints of reality, but it's mixed with a dreamy, otherworldly vibe, perfectly capturing how I feel when surrounded by flowers. This piece invites you to let your imagination roam, just like in a dream, where nothing is exactly as it seems, but everything feels right. It’s my way of painting a moment of pure, colorful escape.
