Blue Hydrangea and wild peach roses, oil and enamel on canvas, 81 x 100 x 2 cm
Blue Hydrangea and wild peach roses, a tangled array of bountiful blue. Twisted, tangled, crooked rose stem’s and blue violet boisterous flower heads. A thicket of colour, a wild sweet chaos. Blue Hydrangea and wild peach roses.
Inspired to create a painting full of dynamic movement whilst representing a wild, tangled rose briar with an abundance of flourishing blue Hydrangea and daisies, I wanted the painting to suggest the beauty and simplicity of nature. The expressionist hedgerow signifies a movement toward chaos while the delicate petals and flowers are beautifully structured and ordered, giving a focal point to the painting. The flowers sit juxtaposed against the thick undergrowth in the background, simple beauty and wild chaos. Blue Hydrangea and wild peach roses is ready to hang.
