Blown by the wind, oil and enamel on canvas, 120 x 90 x 3 cm
The Wildflowers come, seeds blown on the wind. Summer sun brings life, tendrils shoot and take root. Beautiful wild flowers. Delicate, but fiercely strong. They weather life and dance under the sun, until winter sends there seeds once more upon the wind.
Inspired by wildflowers, I wanted to capture the beauty and joyous exuberance that a hillside of flowers represents to me. I aspire to be like those wild flowers. Content to be blown by the wind and dance through the journey of life, until winters chill carries me once again to a place unknown.
Using strong palette knifed strokes and vibrant colours Blown by the wind is a painting which makes me smile and fills my heart with a love for nature. Gold flecks of paint hide in the undergrowth and dripped marks represent the chaos beneath the flower heads. Blown by the Wind is ready to hang
