Beautiful Chaos, oil and acrylic on canvas, 150 x 100 x 3 cm

The beautiful imperfect. Inspired by the Japanese perspective of Wabi - Sabi which sees beauty in transient imperfection I wanted to create a painting full of raw grace. When flowers flourish in nature they are surrounded by a chaotic undergrowth, beautiful flowers bloom whilst other petals fall. It is about seeing the beauty of the cycle. Created in an expressionist style based on the works of Jackson Pollock. Beautiful Chaos has a raw, organic quality reminiscent of the nature it depicts. Palette knifed roses add a focal point to the artwork, drawing the viewer into a wild floral landscape. Strong tones of pink and yellow ochre are used to saturate the artwork with life and vitality inspired by the bold palette of Van Gogh. Beautiful Chaos is ready to hang.
