you made the flowers dance, oil and acrylic on canvas, 120 x 120 cm

Due to its size, this artwork ships rolled in a tube. This is safer for the artwork in transit. Your local picture framers can re stretch the artwork to hang

This painting is all about movement, light and that feeling when everything seems to come alive at once. It was inspired by those moments where something shifts, and suddenly the world feels brighter, softer and full of energy.

I wanted the flowers to feel as though they were in motion, not still or fixed, but alive and responding, almost as if they were dancing. The layers of colour, drips and expressive marks create a sense of rhythm across the canvas, with each bloom blending into the next in a way that feels spontaneous and free.

There’s a warmth running through the piece, a quiet sense of joy and connection that sits beneath the colour. The title came from that feeling of presence, as if something unseen has gently changed the atmosphere.

For me, this work is about energy, joy and the way something simple can transform everything around it.
