Wildflower Melody, oil on canvas, 120 x 60 x 2 cm
Wildflower Melody, sunny yellow blooms, a landscape of flowers, fills my soul with happiness.
I am always enamoured by vast open landscapes where the horizon goes on endlessly and there is so much space and open field around me that I feel small and connected to the world in a way that grounds me. The simplicity of the colour panels of open sky and fields of nature are breath taking and remind me that simple design can often be the most moving. Wildflower Melody has a strong linear divide between sky and flower fields. This divide suggests a feeling of open space and endless fields. The strong yellow colour field is offset by violet tones and delicate white flowers are reminiscent of dandelion clocks within the flowers. Gold flashes of dripped paint suggest wild undergrowth beneath the Buttercups and sharp red poppies bring suggest a late summer groove. Wildflower Melody is ready to hang.
