Inspired by the work of the late artist Leroy Neiman I wanted to create a painting full of action which captured the passion and exhilaration of a horse race. The Finishing Post is a bright, energetic painting. The colours are vibrant and bold and enhance the movement within the image. A 70’s vibe permeates the painting with it’s acid colours and strong shapes. The Finishing post is a very large painting at 140 x 112 x 3cm. It has been coated in a satin varnish and is ready to hang.
