In Poppy Parade I wanted to capture the wild, untamed beauty of a field of poppies swaying in a summer breeze. To create this I have used an expressionist style of painting to reflect the movement and vitality of the fields and poppies. Dripped and splashed paint captures the life and motion of the poppy heads and gold flecks reflect light into the painting. Poppy Parade is carefree abandon and wild delight.
