Perfect Day, a summer love, the sun light in my eyes. We walk through mustard fields hand in hand and laugh and smile and play. My memories are warm and hazy, the scent of the wild flowers, the yellow of the fields, the polka dot red poppies.
I love colour and recently whilst driving by mustard fields I was struck by the bright yellow of the flowers and the crisp grey blue of the sky. Golden light refracted across the scene and I knew I wanted to capture this moment which jarred my memories. Created using expressionist techniques and defining detail Perfect Day is a large painting on two canvas panels which is modern and bright. It is ready to hang.
