Here We Lie, acrylic and enamel on canvas 80 x 80 x 3 cm.
Representing the destructive nature of war and fighting. Here we lie is for all the people who have lost their lives unnecessarily to conflict and terror. The colours each symbolise an aspect of war and the way the canvas has been deconstructed with layers of paint laid on then removed reflects how war destroys. Deep markings and texture appear on the canvas due where a palette knife was used to scrape away paint in a process of deconstructed. Here We Lie has been finished with a satin varnish. It is 80 x 80 x 3 cm and ready to hang.
