Fresh, acrylic and enamel on canvas 120 x 90 x 1 cm.
Fresh green shoots rise up between tangled, twisted, crooked branches. New beginnings, a carpet of wild flowers. Natures recycling. I breathe in life. I see the dawn of spring form the grey of winter. I feel renewed….Fresh
Colours can suggest so many things. I love to play with colour and I am always inspired by the nature and wildlife around me. As the seasons change the colour play of the landscape varies dramatically and this painting certainly suggests the fresh and new of spring. “Fresh” is essentially abstract colours selected to reflect a moment in time. Overlaid on this colour is an expressionist depiction of the plants and wildflowers in the corners of my garden. A suggestion of shape, a feeling of flowers. Fresh.
