Due to its size, this artwork ships rolled in a tube. This is safer for the artwork in transit. Your local picture framers can easily re stretch the artwork to hang and frame if desired. Please message me if you would like a quote to ship on the frame.

This painting is inspired by those long, unhurried summer afternoons where time seems to soften and stretch out endlessly. It’s about being completely present in a moment, surrounded by warmth, colour and the simple joy of being together.

The foreground flowers are painted in oil, with a more detailed and realistic approach that gives each bloom a sense of softness and depth. In contrast, the tulips are created in acrylic using expressive splatters and loose, gestural marks, bringing movement and energy into the upper part of the composition. This contrast between realism and abstraction reflects the balance between stillness and spontaneity within the moment.

There’s a calm, sunlit feeling running through the piece, like lying back in a field or park with nowhere else to be.

For me, this work is about connection, ease and those fleeting moments that feel like they could last forever
