Blue Dawn is inspired by early morning walks with my dogs through the woods. As day breaks, the sun rays shine through the trees. The colours in spring are magnificent. Blue Dawn captures the fresh crisp colours the new leaves and the bluebells. Created in an expressionist style with dripped and thrown paint Blue Dawn uses strong lime and green tones next to blue with orange and pink dripped colour to create depth and interest. The sun rays in Blue Dawn are created using gold iridescent paint. This has the effect of changing the aspect of the painting as light hits it. I have tried to include multiple photographs to show how in some light the golden sun rays are more visible that others. Blue Dawn is painted on edged wood. It is ready to hang.
