The Chaos of Beautiful is a celebration of colour, movement and the glorious disorder of the natural world. A wild garden spills across the canvas in layers of violet, blue, lavender and soft white, punctuated by flashes of brilliant red and orange. Flowers emerge and disappear amongst dripped, splashed and gestural marks, creating a landscape that feels caught somewhere between reality and imagination.
I wanted the painting to have a sense of beautiful excess, the way nature rarely arranges itself neatly but somehow finds its own perfect balance. Delicate pale blooms float against deeper pools of colour while the vivid red flowers dance above them, drawing the eye through the composition. Above, the quieter, atmospheric space gives the painting room to breathe and creates a wonderful contrast with the abundance below.
There is chaos here, but it is joyful chaos. A reminder that sometimes the most beautiful things are the ones that refuse to be contained.
