Serpentine, My heart beat races. Desire.
Serpentine was inspired by the beautiful paintings of Gustav Klimt. I wanted to create my version of Klimt’s sensual, erotic women. The body is smoothly contoured and the woman’s face is hidden from the viewer. A snake circles her torso, representing the hold of Love and desire. The room is heat and tension, symbolised by the burning fluorescent colour. Behind is a blue calm. A surety of self. The strength of a woman, the giving of self. Serpentine
