Sunflowers, oil on canvas 120 X 80 X 4cm (large painting)
Inspired by Vincent van Gogh and his famous sunflower painting I wanted to create a version honest to my style of painting but with elements of Van Gogh’s technique within it. Created with oil and enamel paints, the rich yellow colours are reflective of Van Gogh’s beautiful sunflower paintings, which bring warmth and light into a room. Sunflowers is such a vibrant artwork...it feels happy and makes me smile...I wonder if that's how Vincent felt after painting his sunflowers?
